The New Croft Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Warren Lewis-Claxton as its new Head of Foundation.
In this role, Warren will oversee the Foundation's operations, ensuring its continued success and growth in supporting local communities and initiatives. Alongside his responsibilities as Head of Foundation, Warren will also contribute his expertise as a Finance Officer at The New Croft.
Warren brings a wealth of experience in both football coaching and finance to The New Croft Foundation. His coaching career began in 2018, when he completed his Level One certification, and has since flourished with milestones such as leading Needham Market Women’s team to multiple promotions and county cup finals. Most notably, he secured his UEFA B coaching license in 2023.
In addition to his coaching roles, Warren has played a pivotal part in expanding the female provision at Needham Market FC. This includes helping to grow the girls' teams within the club, adding Junior Premier League (JPL) sides, and working with their partner club to establish more grassroots teams and continue to push the adult sides in the right direction.
Warren has also worked with the Ipswich Town Football Club (ITFC) Foundation since 2020 and is also part of the Suffolk County Schools Football Association helping to lead female teams in games against other counties.
Professionally, Warren has spent the past nine years with Suffolk Building Society, building a solid foundation in finance. Earning his AAT qualification in 2019, he has honed his skills in data analysis, forecasting, and financial management, making him an ideal candidate to guide both The New Croft and Foundation's operations.
Speaking about his appointment, Warren said:"It’s a unique role that allows me to bring two things together I have put a lot of time into. It’s going to be exciting, and I’m ready for the challenge."
Peter Betts, Director of The New Croft Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm for Warren’s appointment:"Warren’s exceptional experience in both football development and financial management makes him the perfect fit for this role. His passion for supporting community-driven initiatives aligns perfectly with the Foundation's mission, and we’re thrilled to have him on board. We’re confident he will make a significant impact in driving the Foundation’s vision forward."
Warren’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for The New Croft Foundation, and we look forward to seeing the positive contributions he will bring to the organisation and the local community.
