The New Croft Foundation recently hosted a fantastic fundraising evening in Manchester, featuring former professional footballer and Haverhill Academy Manager, Kevin Horlock, alongside his ex-teammate and former Manchester City captain, Andy Morrison.
The event, compered by British television presenter and comedian Mike McClean, brought together football fans and supporters for a memorable night, full of laughter and football nostalgia.
Kevin and Andy shared captivating stories from their time at Manchester City, including the iconic 1999 Play-Off Final where City clinched promotion to the First Division after a thrilling penalty shootout win against Gillingham. The crowd enjoyed reliving these moments and learning about the duo’s experiences both on and off the pitch.
In addition to the stories, a charity auction featuring some fantastic donated items helped raise an impressive £2,500. All proceeds from the event will support The New Croft Foundation's education programme at Haverhill Football Academy, furthering opportunities for young footballers in the local community.
We were thrilled to see such a great turnout, and the funds raised will go a long way in continuing the valuable work of the Foundation. A special thank you to Terrace Cult clothing brand for sponsoring the evening, and to all who attended and contributed to this worthy cause.
